Kilburn Towers is the iconic circular building that sits above the penguin protected waters of Manly Cove. The top floor penthouse faces due south towards the city, meaning weather protection and ultimate waterproofing is essential.
Fluid redesigned the roof structure to incorporate circular tapering beams that look like concrete but act like steel. This enabled us to create a glass facade capable of handling anything mother nature cares to deliver. Fire-rating, a full makeover of the apartment and exquisite finishes made this project a joy to work on.
Fluid handled all access and material handling externally using our own assets, which saved the client substantial money that could be used in finishes.
